Are you busy?
Being constantly busy can lead to burnout, stress and neglect of important aspects of life.
You would hear this at least a hundred times a day from your co-worker, partners, employees, and even your friends: "I'm so busy." Being busy all the time can have negative effects on both your physical and mental health. I'm no health expert, but constant busyness has been linked to a variety of health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes. Additionally, being constantly busy can lead to feelings of burnout and exhaustion, making it difficult to enjoy the things you used to love.
But on a lighter note, being busy also has its perks! Like being able to say "I'm busy" when someone asks you out on a date and you'd end up in a garage trying to become the next Tony Stark.
Moving on from that dumb attempt at humour. Moreover, when we are constantly busy, we often neglect self-care, which is essential for maintaining good mental and physical health. This includes exercise, healthy eating, and getting enough sleep. There was a time in my life when I just slept for less than 4 hours a day. And I was exhausted AF.
But it's important to understand that being busy is not the same thing as being productive. Being busy does not mean you are achieving your goals or making progress in your life. It's important to take a step back and evaluate your priorities. Prioritise the most important tasks and make time for the things that truly matter to you.
But in this constant, ever-evolving psycho of the world, it's our own responsibility to take care of our mental health and relax. Maybe AI will become so good I can just press a button to write this entire thing and not give a rat's ass about anything. Wait, it already did.
But it is important to find ways to manage stress and reduce busyness. In conclusion, being busy all the time can have a detrimental effect on your physical and mental health, relationships, and overall well-being. I've had first-hand experiences of what life will be if you start taking a few things for granted.
Life is a marathon. At some point, you have to finish and look back at the beautiful journey you've been through. It's important to take a step back and evaluate your priorities, practice self-care, and find ways to manage stress and reduce busyness in your life.
