I know it might sound rude to hear at first, but it isn’t rudeness that makes me say it, it’s just a depiction of my work ethic.
I have learned through experience that your constant, focused striving toward your goals is what makes you grow in this practical world. It is how I also learned that social media is sucking up your valuable energy and yet I work on Social Media Marketing, the hypocrisy.
I have absolutely no ties of my personal life to the social world, no Instagram, no WhatsApp, and no Facebook. It is very important for me to prioritize my personal life along with my work, and thus I often come out as what people might call “tough”. Often this statement is reciprocated by the unsaid thought, “Should we send a message tied to a pigeon to contact me when needed?”
But, this is just how I operate. I value the minute unspoken things that people do to work with me.
People can still call me, iMessage or text me, email me. Even this feels much for me too keep up with. Signal is the only app I have for all my team conversations. Be it calls, messages, or media, send everything to me on Signal. When I request my team members, clients or any associate to join Signal to collaborate or work with me, their willingness and eagerness to work with me are depicted. And I value these gestures the most. I'm not even gonna start on how all my friends just use Signal just because of me.
I believe in reciprocating these gestures by going to the extremes of my capacity. That’s the lengths to which I invest myself in my connections.
So, to have such high standards and dedication towards my work and my team, at times, even if I come out as rigid or unhearing, at the root of it, is always motivated by pure intentions. I really hope the world understands.
Yours,
Shasha
